The NDRI Graduates Alumni Association (NGAA), established in February 2007, serves as a pivotal organization for dairy professionals. Its primary aim is to foster a collaborative environment for dialogue, idea exchange, and engagement within the dairy and food industry in India. The association is dedicated to enhancing current practices and introducing innovative ideas for the advancement of the sector.
Furthermore, the NGAA actively promotes and contributes to the sustainable development of the dairy and food industry, as well as the farming community, in collaboration with various stakeholders including cooperatives, private and public organizations, and national or international entities sharing similar objectives.
Since its inception, the Association has been hosting annual National Seminars focused on the Dairy & Food sector, which have become highly anticipated events within the professional community. The recent seminar, themed “Globalization of Indian Dairy Industry” held on September 20, 2025, was inaugurated by Dr. R S Paroda, Chairman TAAS & former Secretary DARE & DG ICAR, New Delhi. The event drew participation from over 400 professionals representing various segments of the dairy and food sector.
India's dairy sector is a cornerstone of rural livelihoods, nutritional security, and economic resilience. As the world confronts climate change, resource constraints, and evolving consumer expectations, the need to transform dairy and food value chains has never been more urgent. Sustainability is no longer an option–it is the pathway to long-term growth, competitiveness, and inclusive development.
“From Farm to Fork” reects a comprehensive and integrated approach that connects farmers, processors, cooperatives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and consumers within a unied and responsible ecosystem. By strengthening climate-smart production systems, promoting green processing, ensuring resilient supply chains, and advancing safe and nutritious consumption, the dairy sector can become a model of balanced progress.
This conference seeks to deliberate, innovate, and collaborate toward building sustainable and climate-resilient dairy & food value chains that enhance farmer prosperity, safeguard environmental resources, and contribute meaningfully to India's journey toward a developed and self-reliant future.
By integrating climate responsibility, innovation, cooperative strength, and nutrition security, the conference aims to outline a strategic roadmap for building sustainable and climate-resilient dairy & food value chains that support rural livelihoods and national progress.
We extend a cordial invitation for your active participation and urge you to help disseminate information about this Seminar widely. Your engagement will contribute signicantly to the exchange of views and innovative ideas, enriching policy and decision-making processes within the sector.
